This is a wonderful interview with David, revealing his depth of thought and feeling in matters of Armenian identity. I have read the book and am proud to have been one of the writers in it.

Great interview Hrag. Someone sent me the link to this review and I'm glad they did. There was a "Conversations with Contemporary Armenian Artists" by Jackie Abramian a few years back and this looks like it will be a worthy companion. Amazon's already got my order.

A very good interview with a poet, writer, anthologist, I always admired. Yes, it is time for the Armenian youth to look back and see the birth pangs of ethnic Armenian literature in America and especially the struggle to cope and to find a niche and an identity in the post-Genocide reality.
I look forward to reading it.

David truly is a "preservationist," not only in his anthologies--where he presents the work of others who might otherwise be neglected or disregarded--but in his own poetry and prose, which, by evoking his life experiences, help us understand our own better. This is important work that few are doing and supporting these days--or supporting against the odds.

Fascinating -- Kherdian always seems to find a gap that needs filling. Thanks, Hrag, for sharing this interview with us. Can't wait to read the anthology... love its title.
