In one of the most bizarre things I’ve seen in a while (which is a lot considering I spotted house pets panhandling on Lex yesterday), a new Travel Channel show, appropriately named BIZARRE FOODS, were handing out salt’n vinegar flavored crickets to commuters this week. It was a promotion with free iTune download tie-ins.
How were they? They taste like a cross between potato chips and wasabi peas…minus the spiciness.
I did watch the show this week but it was nowhere as edgy as the hand-outs promised.
