While ArtCal got my best-of-the-best photo essay from my tour of DUMBO’s Art Under the Bridge festival there are oodles more images for the image hungry on my Flickrstream.
Among the 226 newly-posted pics are:
- some good work by Maya Attoun (also this one);
- the bizarre popcorn sculpture that was part of Ricardo Alzati’s sprawling installation;
- images of Alessandro Dal Pont’s “City Dunes (New York)” project that fuses graffiti with sand (he admitted it was difficult to color sand and couldn’t use spray paint);
- Valerio Carrubba’s pseudo-medical drawings of how to reattach a thumb;
- some street art & graf pics here, here and here;
- images from numerous DUMBO studios, including what inspires some artists, and peaks at some of their lovely studio views;
- the best studio gimmick of the weekend award goes to Abraham Brewster for offering free apples to visitors; and
- I even ran into George Washington and Obama.
