I always wondered if adherents to non-Christian religions saw their deities in banal objects (why should toast favor Jesus or Mary?) and then I saw this and realized that the looniness was universal. There's something reassuring in that.

I read a while back that Virgin Mary sightings declined about the same time as UFO sightings started to crop up.

the other day we saw bands of Prop. 8 supporters in southern O.C. and my mom rolled down her window and yelled “terrorists!!!” at them.
