		<description>I think the only reason Borat does become a generic foreigner is that most viewers had no frame of reference for Kazakhs, it probably played different in regions with a more intimate knowledge of the nuances. But your point is well taken though I think at the end of the day no one considered Borat a threat but comedic. No one reacted with violence in the film.</description>

I realize this doesn&#039;t answer the question of whether Bruno is good or bad for gay rights, but I do think it misses the point about Borat - he is not supposed to be a Kazakh as much as a generic foreigner with different customs than ours, no?</description>
