Listen to the incredible poetic artistry of Gil Scott Heron’s “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised,” which appeared on his first album Pieces of a Man (1971).
My favorite paragraph is undoubtedly this one:
“The revolution will not be televised, will not be televised,
will not be televised, will not be televised.
The revolution will be no re-run brothers;
The revolution will be live.”
