Toronto’s Brilliant GENERAL IDEA

Kunsthalle Zurich presents the oeuvre of revolutionary Toronto artists collective, General Idea (AA Bronson, Felix Partz†, Jorge Zontal†) for the first time in Europe for over a decade.

The influential art group grappled with the issue of AIDS and gender identity throughout the 1970s, 80s and 90s. Partz & Zontal both died of AIDS in 1994 and AA Bronson moved to New York.

Impressions from the opening reception at Kunsthalle Zurich, November 10, 2006.
