Soooo many stories, sooo little time:
- A new blog driven Armenian news source named Armenian Times published an absurd article in their second issue titled “The Monaco of nearly 10,000 Armenian,”…anyone who thinks Anjar is at all comparable to Monaco is deluded;
- For those of you that missed it, The New Republic has an interesting article “K Street Cashes in on the 1915 Armenian Genocide” on lobbyists seeing dollar signs when it comes to the Armenian Genocide…also check out Raffi K.’s reaction at being characterized as a nationalistic blogger in the TNR story;
- Cilicia.com blogger Nareg searches for underwear in Armenia;
- Panorama.am takes a quick look at who the readers are in Yerevan and what they’re reading;
- A Boston Globe editorial reminds the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) that it “is not an arm of Israel” and it should acknowledge the Armenian Genocide because…”Failure to acknowledge past atrocities will encourage would-be perpetrators to believe they can get away with them, just as the Ottoman Empire did.”;
- the Independent (UK) reports about an old murder in a crumbling mansion, Heath House, which the owner claimed “was the location of Camelot, the centre of a Pagan cult and the lost city of the ancient Armenians.” (article);
- Is Armenia’s first president, Levon Ter-Petrossian, re-entering politics?; and
- Some good photos & reporting from two bloggers about the environmental protest in Yerevan late last month (blog1)(blog2).
