American Allegory in Brussels City Hall

I found this unusual painting in one of the corridors of Brussels City Hall on my way to the mayoral office.

It looks distinctly “American” and portrays the “red Indians” associated with North & South America and portrays some of the colonial treasures that fueled European prosperity during the 15th – 19th centuries.
