Bushwick’s First Superhero Arrives at Roberta’s

February 24, 2008 by hv

I’ve known Phil since his early year’s in Bushwick in 2000, and yesterday I had dinner at Roberta’s pizzeria in Morgantown and was happy to see that he’s working there.

A native of Florida, Phil has the uncanny ability to do the unexpected to save lives. He’s a career bartender and waiter who will stop at nothing to unmask the secrets of fine food & libations. He’s worked all over Williamsburg including Allioli and Bugaloo, which…if you haven’t heard…got bought by Moby.

He’s become one of Williamsburg’s signature personalities, a man iconic of the north Brooklyn renaissance.

Pictured here….Phil cracks the whip in the kitchen.
