Depopulating Hopper’s “Nighthawks”

May 15, 2008 by hv

Maybe it’s time for me to revisit Second Life (SL) and scout out some new art.

I saw this recreation of Hopper’s “Nighthawks” and was reminded how SL seems to excel at recreations, particularly performances.

You can visit the virtual recreation by clicking on this SLURL.

I like the idea of “walking” around classic paintings in order to gain a new perspective on their compositions and the artist’s vision…how great would it be to stroll through a Bosch panel or even a Pollock?

Get the skinny on this attempt at Hopper homage here.
