AA Bronson Interview on VBS.tv

The always inspirational AA Bronson talks to VBS.tv about his “retrospective as self-portrait” exhibition “School for Young Shamans” at John Connelly Presents in New York earlier this year.

He discusses his participation in the Toronto-born General Idea collective (1969-1994) which ended when two of the members died of AIDS. He also describes his work as a healer/shaman over the past 15 years, most notably in the field of butt massage.

The second video follows Bronson through the exhibition as he explains some of the works by younger artists (though there are some works by older talents). It’s definitely worth the watch since he outlines some insightful biographical details for each artist.
