Conceptual Art Camp in Asbury Park, NJ this Weekend

Husband and wife art team, Dahlia Elsayed & Andrew Demirjian are teaming up for the ultimate in summer events…CONCEPTUAL ART CAMP!

Yes, you heard that right. Painter Dahlia and video artist Andrew are conjuring up…actually I’m not quite sure what they’re doing, so let’s hear them describe it:

CONCEPTUAL ART CAMP is a performance and installation that offers all the experiences of normal camp – nature, campfires, sing-alongs, group activities, recreation – but in theoretical form only.

Campers are welcome on Saturday, August 16th from 4pm-9pm to participate in all activities led by Conceptual Art Camp Counselors.

Activities include:

  • Text-based macaroni art;
  • Guided nature hike and field drawing;
  • Metaphorical campfire sing-alongs;
  • Bird-watching;
  • and much much more!

All the fun takes place in an empty store on the Asbury Park boardwalk that doesn’t really have an address. It’s between the mini-golf and convention hall on the Ocean Ave. side (across from the Stone Pony).

    Louisya

    I thought you were my friend. I thought you loved me. I was out there this past weekend and almost went postal in Wegmans supermarket.

    I think “text-based macaroni art” would calm you down.
