I can't believe this is true…un-fuckin'-believable…."The headline of the article is 'Mr. Risk Goes to Washington.' It says, 'Think of Paulson as Mr. Risk. He’s one of the key architects of a more daring Wall Street, where securities firms are taking greater and greater chances in [their] pursuit of profits. By some key measures, the securities industry is more leveraged now than it was at the height of the 1990s boom.'"

"'The saddest thing about this is that `My Hero' was written as a celebration of the common man and his extraordinary potential,' the band said in a statement. 'To have it appropriated without our knowledge and used in a manner that perverts the original sentiment of the lyric just tarnishes the song.'"

With job losses rising and more economic depression on the way, why not paper the poor areas so that they can cash in….oh…and fight a war. It's depressing to think that someone would risk their life for $20,000.

The first novel about the true murder in Washington Heights of New York's Armenian Apostolic archbishop on Christmas Eve 1933. The grisly crime shocked all of New York and was widely covered in the tabloid media. There are still many unanswered questions.
I don't know how good this book is but sounds interesting.

This is a MUST read…very beautiful: "Every grand American accomplishment, every innovation that has benefited and enriched our lives, every lasting social transformation, every moment of profound insight any American visionary ever had into a way out of despair, loneliness, fear and violence—everything that has from the start made America the world capital of hope, has been the fruit of the creative imagination, of the ability to reach beyond received ideas and ready-made answers to some new place, some new way of seeing or hearing or moving through the world."

Really amazing visualization for election news on YouTube, Twitter & other news sites.

I always enjoy reading this Armenian Canadian writer and his one liners about the world around him but today he published a doozy:
"Literature: Art irritating life." -
I have been using it to watch the election debates and not go insane with the senseless babble of the talking heads.
