Re:Public – Branding LGBT Equality & Taking It to the Streets

November 20, 2008 by hv

Here is my latest Re:Public column titled “Branding Equality & Taking It to the Street: An Interview with Aaron Harvey & His Work in the Anti-Prop 8 Movement.”

I think any social movement today requires a viral visual identity in order to make a true societal impact–branding, no matter what we think, is important. I’m glad to see that the Anti-Prop 8 movement has finally gotten their visual act together–it only took a defeat at the polls I guess.

I wonder if the poll results would’ve been slightly different if they came up with a unified visual identity and message, like the Obama campaign did, ages ago.

UPDATE: Towleroad just linked to the item.
