Re:Public – Exhibiting the Street

A view of the opening reception of Factory Fresh's "A Maze" exhibition

My latest Re:Public is up on ArtCalZine and it’s entiteld: “Exhibiting the Street: A Maze at Factory Fresh.” The column touches on some of the problems street artists confront transitioning to the gallery and how they can either succeed or fail as they take the “street” out of their art.

Factory Fresh‘s latest show poses some creative solutions to the dilemma and is definitely work a look. Unfortunately “A Maze” closes this Sunday, November 30, 2008…so hurry!

Check out my annotated slideshow here and there are additional pics (49 to be exact) from the show’s opening night here.
