Back from New Orleans

December 14, 2008 by hv

This last week has been a helluva busy one as I got engaged on Tuesday and traveled to New Orleans for Prospect.1 the following day.

I covered some of what I saw via Twitter, including my first impressions (I landed and it snowed for the first time in four years), my first day, discovering eBay slot machines at a casino, sipping the best cocktails in the city, the kindness of strangers, hot sauces as tourist souvenirs, accidentally breaking into the Edgar Degas house (really, it was a freak thing), highs & lows of day 3, thoughts on the New Orleans Museum of Art, and parting thoughts on local cuisine.

So stay tuned for much more about my four days in the Big Easy and I’ve got tons of pictures.

Don’t just tell us you got engaged without giving us the details. Tell us about the lucky guy. “Dai, dai,” as they say in Italian. Give it up!
