"This fall the Blanton Museum of Art presents a groundbreaking exhibition of work by artists associated with the Park Place Gallery, a prominent artists' cooperative space in 1960s New York. With their specific aesthetics, the group was often at odds with the predominant style of many artists of the era, and as a result, their work has largely been ignored in chronicles of 1960s art." Ok, I'm pretty guilty of being an art nerd according to Art Blog by Bob's quiz…though I didn't know about this:
"Have you ever eaten at Hank’s Place in Chadds Ford, PA, hoping that Andrew Wyeth and Helga will stroll in for pancakes?"
Let's just say you'll know where I'll be in the coming weekends (as soon as I figure out what Andrew Wyeth looks like, and from what I remember I only remember what the back of Helga's head looks like).
