Raffle for Paul Chan Drawing, Support The Front Collective in NOLA

I attended the “Things Fall Apart” panel at the Winkleman gallery yesterday which was quite excellent–it was organized by Joy Garnett.

The gallery talk featured Paul Chan, Natalie Sciortino and Rachel Jones of The Front collective who are visiting New York from New Orleans and all of whom are included in the “Things Fall Apart” exhibition (which closes February 21, 2009).

They discussed the positive impact of Prospect.1 on NOLA, how they run their collective and what it meant to be an artist in post-Katrina New Orleans.

The complete panel podcast is here.

I also learned that The Front is raffling off a Paul Chan drawing (pictured above) on their website ($5 a ticket). I suggest you click on over and show The Front some monetary love.
