Back-dated graffiti

I love the ridiculous idea of back dating graffiti. I know others have done it — this one isn’t original — but the purposefully misdated graff alludes to the more permanent graffiti (often people’s names and dates) found at archeological and historic sites and the ephermeral nature of contemporary graffiti.

The idea that a single graffiti piece could even dream of lasting for 24 years on a rather clean doorway in the heavily used Bedford Avenue L station is simply hilarious.
